I know that some users have posted, over the course of this beta, an issue
where double-clicking on an Office doc to open it (as opposed to opening
Winword and then opening the doc) leads to a very substantial lag.
It is possible that this is related to what you are seeing.
I don't have a specific fix for this. I'd try removing your current build
of Microsoft antispyware, deleting the installation folder (typically
c:\program files\microsoft antispyware) and below--you will lose all
settings and any items in quarantine--and doing a fresh download of the
current build from the download site, and installing.
My sense is that this is an issue with a particular install on a given
machine, and not something generic that has to be fixed in the product or it
will never go away--but I don't have a clear understanding of what is
happening.
