Going back to XP

I think I should add some info. I have a system that I am taking Vista off
and have installed XP on(by the way it has a raid sata drive that is now the
d drive that is the boot drive for some reason). It will not let me boot
without the install CD being in the CD drive. Otherwise it tells me that
"NTLDR is missing, Press con+alt+del to
restart". This a machine which had Vista, a sata raid drive and a eide
drive that was placed at J by Vista. Now the eide drive is C and the sata
drive is D, which it says is the first boot drive and the one the OS is on.
How can I fix this? Thanks

Did you delete the Vista Partition/drive first or during the winxp
installation?
Was vista origonally on the Ide or Sata?

No, I just did the quick reformat and on the original configuration it was on
the sata drive, which was the drive it came with, I added the ide drive later.

PS I should have said, you have checked that winxp drivers are avilable for
your system?

I was afraid you were going to say that. I have the drivers HP said I needed
but there is also PCI error messages in device manager I have to deal with.
