Ghosted "Reply" "Reply to all" and "New" buttons on main toolbar.

Hi all.
I cannot send any e mails any more. This is a very recent occurrence. My
"reply", "reply to all" and "new" buttons on the toolbar are ghosted out.
When i try to use the commands via the "Actions" sub menu, they are ghosted
out there too. My "View toolbars" button is also ghosted. There seems to be
no way to send mail or adjust the toolbar. The keyboard commands for the
actions don't work either. I've tried repairing the installation, but it
seems to make no difference. The online help seems to have no suggestions.
Help !!!!

Thanks in anticipation.

Close Outlook. Go into Windows Explorer and unhide folders and files. Then
search for the outcmd.dat file and rename it. Open Outlook and then let me
know if this helped you or not.

I've renamed the file as you suggested (i used the new name Outcommand). It
didn't make any difference. What I dd notice though was that when I opened
up Outlook, the ghosted buttons were not ghosted (albeit only for a split
second !!) Any more thoughts ?

Yes, this is 2003 and it is activated. It's been working for just over a year
with no problems.

I am also having this same problem. It started today. Did you figure our
why this was happening on your computer?

Thanks.
