Ghost 9.0

I was just over at Symantec looking around for the SP2 update.
Noticed new release of Ghost 9.0. Here's what is interesting, it
(Web details) has a bullet saying that it "Now uses Drive Image
technology". I guess we know now that after acquiring Power
Quest the old Ghost software is history. The product description
talks about "Hot Imaging" technology. For anyone interested in
a look, browse over to
http://www.symantec.com/sabu/ghost/ghost_personal/features.html
I'm guessing, but seems like Drive Image 7.03 will probably be
the last in the product line.

I never used Drive Image before but I like partition magic, ghost seemed
good enough for me. I guess DI was the superior product, sounds cool...So,
is symantec doin version numbers now instead of years?

Symantec is merging Power Quest technology into their
products. You can see that in a few places on Symantec's site.

No doubt the current version of Power Quest's software apps
will be the last.

Rats. And I have to upgrade my copy of Drive Image. I'd better do
it before it becomes history. Or before Symantic messes it up.
