Get External Data Missing

This worked up until today. When I try to import a table there isn't an
option for Get External Data. The only options shown in File are "Close",
"Search" and "Exit".

Thanks Chris for your help - but no this wasn't done for a good reason. I
created the database myself - someone else might have been fooling with it.
