Get error message 0x8024400e

When I click on check for updates, whether it is from the Home or About
screen I get "Windows Defender was unable to complete the update:
0x8024400e". I can however go to Windows Updates and install the update. I
have tried the BITS fix and a few others.

Hi Kimokeo,

You are right, the only way that I have found was through Windows Update
and it worked very well.
