"Gericom laptop fan problem"

Hello- i'm really worried about my cooler- it's running constantly!
...and when i'm launching any heavy program or even game it just shuts down with a loud 5 time beep sygnal!
not sure where the problem really is, but maybe someone might know how to solve this S...it!? (((((((

is this fan in your desktop or yout notebook?

i have never dealt with a notebook fan, but it turning off with five beeps does indicate overheating with the cpu.

i presume u mean that the whole pc/laptop will turn off!

if this is a desktop, what i would do is open this pc up and if the cpu fan has got a fanmate, that can turn up the speed of the cpu fan, in this case i think u will need to speed up the cpu fan speed! that is definetly the root of the problem

so post us back your specs or your pc/laptop because what you have given us so far is too brief..

Was just wondering,

Is the equipment (Is it a Laptop?) standing on a hard surface ?; Desk ? the Ventilation grills need to be free from obstruction, or the system fan will stop on.
I have just proven this theory by running my laptop stood on the duvet.
Hope this is some use to you?
