Generic Host Process for Win32 Services....

Hi, I have a Acer Aspire 3610. When Windows first starts up I get a error
Message saying "Generic Host Process for Win32 Sevices has encounted a
problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Then when I
click to see the error report this message comes up " The Following files
will be included in this error report:
C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER9c4dir00\svchost.exe.mdmp. And
C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER9c4f.d.r00\appcompat.txt.
After this message comes up I cannot get any sound on my computer. When I
try to click on the volume icon it comes up "There are no active mixer
devices available." I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the message
that comes up on startup or not. I reinstalled the sound drivers and they
work fine untill this message comes up again. Any help would be great! Thanks!
