Games freeze after few minutes!

I didnt really know where to post this , but here it
goes. Only a few weeks ago, this game, Championship
manager started freezing once in a while. This never
happened before. Lately, those "freezes" have intensified
and now every game that I play freezes after a couple of
minutes and I have to press the restart button. Does
anyone know what could be the problem, maybe my memory? I
appreciate any help whatsoever!

There are lots of reasons this could be happening and its the worst kind of
problem to get as it could be hardware or software.

If the game freezes after a while of play then in my opionion it is more
likely to hardware (as s/w would probably show quickly)

Games place stress on your system in the areas of graphics card, processor
and memory, as they heat up failure may occur if there is any problem.

To eliminate any possibility of a s/w failure make sure your drivers are up
to date with XP certified versions.

Then check on your cpu temp (using a free program like sandra)
Try swapping out memory chips
Try swapping the graphics card.

Watcha!

All I can do is get you to check a couple of things:

1. How much disk space do you have?
2. How much RAM dod you have?
3. Check the size of your Virtual Memory, what is its current size?
4. Did you update your video drivers prior to the problems starting?

Windows Update brought up a game-freezing fix that I didn't pay much
attention to (an XP update, not a critical update). You might visit
the site and see if it applies to your situation.
