Gaining entrance to secured legacy databases without system.mdw

The small business I work for has a large volume of legacy Access databases.
Most of these are in Access 97 format and have been secured with the Access
workgroup administrator. These legacy databases were created while the
workload was the property of a different company.

Now, we do not have the system.mdw or any of the security information that
was created with that other company and we need to get into one of the legacy
databases. Is there anyway to do that?

Sounds like these legacy databases are the property of the other
company; contact them for the security information.
