full screen video

I've had a perfectly functioning xp for 9 months.
Suddenly, any video I play plays completely full screen
with no controls available. I can't even get it to stop
with the keyboard. I have to use start/L and reboot. Any
suggestions?

I would try reinstalling video drivers. Not sure what
kind of card you have, but go to the manufacturers website
and download the latest and greatest for your card. Not
sure if that will fix the problem, but it's worth a shot.
From your symptoms, it sounds like video driver problems.
