Full screen Video Playback on LCD screen

I recently bought an iiyama ProLite E431S and whilst I am
very happy with the screen in general it does seem to
have an annoying problem when trying to play back
video/dvd in fullscreen mode. It's quite hard to explain
the problem really but jagged horizontal lines appear
across the screen where there is a large change in
colour. I have tried updating to the latest version of
drivers for my Msi Nvidia Ti4600 card and have the latest
version of media player but this did not help. I thought
this would be a common problem but after searching the
internet nothing has appeared and the iiyama and Nvidia
sites have nothing on this. I have tried changing just
about every video setting i can find but nothing seems to
make the problem go away.

I didn't have this problem on the CRT i was using before
hand at the same resolution 1280x1024 and i do not get it
when usign the tv out at 800x600

Has anybody got any ideas?

I recently ordered a new graphics card because the Ti4600
is a bit old now so i'm hoping this will solve the
problem anyway.

Figured it out. It seems that it does not cause a problem when a screen refresh of 60Hz is used instead of the maxium of 75Hz. Luckily with LCD you don't get the annoying flicker associated with low refresh rateson crt, otherwise it would not have been such an 'ideal' solution

same here, it's because the Prolite 17" wasn't build for a res of
1280x1024 (the 19" is). When you decrease the res to 1152x864 or
1024x768 playback is just fine... To bad.
