FrontPage Author name different on local and remote version of web

I run a small website for my condominium association using FrontPage 2003. I
have two computers on a home network and I use both to edit the website. The
remote versiion of the website shows my administrator name under the "Author"
column (that's ok). The local version of the website shows "Author" as
either the network name for one or the other of the computers ("Desktop" or
"Laptop"). This means that when I publish from the local version to the
remote version ALL the pages show as unmatched even though the content is
identical. This continues as unmatched even after publishing due to the
different author names. How do I fix this?

Work on the live site and then publish down or always open the live site and publish down, then make
your changes, and then re-publish.
