Testing testing one two

I can not connect to my free space I have with my ISP (Freeserve) I have a
few accounts with them but none of them will connect when I try to publish.
I have an account with a webspace provider and I can connect to my www and
upload to that ok.

I've checked the ftp address to my freeserve accounts and that is ok.
I've uninstalled Frontpage 2002 and re-installed it, no change.

When I try to publish it try's to connect but after about 2 min a window
appears with the below message:-

425-Error connecting to **.**.***.*** port 5001 : Connection timed out
425-No data connection: Connection timed out
425 You are using 3.98MB of space, and you have 11.02MB free

Can anybody help please.

Cheers
John

It took me bloody ages to type all that message out and as soon as I posted
it I thought about turning off my firewall, and it worked.
The only thing now is it used to work with the firewll enabled, I've been
into the settings of the firewall and it is set to allow Frontpage to access
the net, so why won't it allo it to publish to freeserve?

Firewall is "Sygate Personal Firewall"

Sounds like you have a firewall or proxy server between you and Freeserve.
Either you must remove the firewall, or use a third party FTP application
set to use passive mode. FP2002 (and earlier) cannot use passive mode FTP.

If you use the3rd party FPT app., there is no need to upload any _vti*
folders.
