Freeware to edit a ISO file

Is it possible to insert and/or delete files in a ISO file? Is there a freeware
to do this?

I don't think it is possible as such, you need to extract file from ISO with
ISO buster or CDmage, add the files and then create iso with a cd-burning
program such as burnatonce.

I was all excited, but then found that you can only extract files from ISO
images. No insert or delete.
