freeware equivalent of WoodTrax

Does anyone know of a freeware equivalent of this program?

It helps if you tell the group what it does.

We're not going to go off and research it to first learn what it is before
we suggest an alternative.

You use it to keep track of your woodies.

Thanks in advance.

WoodTrax is a program for home hobbyists, which will take a string of
text (usually a name) and make a printible outline of it so that it can
be sawn into one piece for finishing.

I can think of a couple of free ways to do without a special program.
You can download "outline fonts" that can be used in any word
processor or even Wordpad. Just use a huge point size, type and print
(you are not limited to the sizes shown on the list in your word
processor... type in your own size number). Some general-purpose
drawing programs and word processors can render text in *any* font as
an outline (I happen to use OpenOffice Draw). There are plenty of
free fonts out there; you need only find some that work well for your
woodworking.

Thanks for showing what the WoodTrax program is used for. I was
wondering if a free program would be available.

Thanks

WoodTrax is used to make wooden signs from connected letters to print
out and make signs, names and other items made from wood.

Thanks
