FP2003 Text Shading

M

Mark K

This is my first time working with WordArt in FP2003. I am
familiar with it in publisher. I founf the perfect wordart
for some text I am adding but I can't see how to change th
color of the shadow. The words cast a shadow in maroon and
I eand to change it to a light gray. In fact I look at all
of the word art options and I can see how to change the
shadow color in any of them? Is this something that can be
done in FP2003 or does publisher just have a more
versitile wordart tool??

Thanks
Mark

Switch to code view and find the hex value for the color of the shadow and edit it manually.

FYI: WordArt is only supported in IE 5 and up browsers running under Windows.

Mark when you have edited your word art ... take a screen print via the
keyboard press Print Screen and the go to a Image editor press Paste or
Paste special and save your image as a jpeg then go to Frontpage press
Insert and locate your new graphic and insert into FrontPage.... this is so
it will be viewable on all browsers.

Tip now out is: THUMBS.DB AND FRONTPAGE
http://frontpage-tips.com/ - FrontPage Tips
They are primarily for FrontPage 2003 but will be good
for earlier versions too.

When I did the print screen and paste it pasted the entire
page. How can I have it copy and paste only the word art???

That's normal.
You have to "cut" out the word art, and then paste it in a new blank instance of your image editor.
