FP2003 - Refresh list of files (status) after publish ?

B

+Bob+

When I publish my web site(s) using the Publish feature, FP2003 never
refreshes the list of files on the left side (development machine) to
show what has been updated to the right side (production server). I
have to click the refresh button in the toolbar to see the updates
reflected.

Is there some option I can click that will cause it to automatically
update the left panel when it completes publishing?

The left side is always your local site (the site currently open in FP)
- so it never needs updating because the file/dates it shows are the latest version of the currently open site in FP

The only time it would need updating is if you reverse publish (from remote to local) or synchronize, or drag & drop from remote to
local (single file publish)

Make sure in your remote site Publishing settings to have publishing set to changed pages only and Changes set to the 1st option for
comparison

comparison

.... that's sort of the issue.

I publish the entire site to make sure everything is up to date
remotely. I change the option to "changed pages only". All the pages
in the left pane now show as "unmatched" and have those little blue
"publish needed" arrows next to them. This is incorrect, but if I
click REFRESH in that window they update to "unchanged" and the arrows
disappear. This appears to be a non-feature but makes some sense since
the option was just changed.

Next, I change a SINGLE page, then bring up the publish window. The
single changed page shows as changed, the others show as unchanged. So
far so good. I publish the site (I'm set to changed pages only per
above). The page is updated to the remote site.

BUT, after publishing, the left window shows most all pages as
"unmatched". There are a few that are reliably shown as "unchanged" as
they should be, notably the home page and the one I just changed and
published, along with a few others that are correct. HOWEVER, the
remaining pages show as "unmatched" once again. If I click REFRESH in
the left window, they then show correctly as "unchanged".

After you switch from All to Changed always just republish again
(nothing will need to updated)
