FP2002 crashes all the time

I'm using FP2002 on XP on a machine with plenty of memory and space. Had no
problems until I published a site to a remote server with good extensions
installed. Now FP crashes every time I try to:
open a new web
insert a picture
open any file, including new web templates etc.

I've tried:
FP/Help/Detect & Repair
uninstall/reinstall
cleaning temporary file caches
deleting the toolbar file thingy
cleaning up the registry
system restore to a previous date
uninstall/system restore/reinstall

Nothing works.

When I browse to the local host I get 'page cannot be displayed'
Please help me if anyone can?

David - Try using the Remove and Add Programs from the Control panel as
discussed by Kerry in a few posts below this and remove Security Update #
KB908531. I was having the same problem per my post of yesterday. After
doing the above, I turned off automatic updates and my problem was fixed.
