FP2000 locks up when I try to start the program

Hi,

I'm using FP2000 which is an upgrade to FP98. When I try
and start FP2000 it locks up as soon as it tries to load
the whole PC hangs as well. I have to then reboot the
system.

I've uninstalled FP2000, re-installed FP98 and then
installed FP2000 but when I try to start FP2000 again it
locks up again (as does my PC again).

I've tried using FP98 prior to installing FP2000 and FP98
was able to startup fine.

I'm assuming that I have some sort of key that needs to be
deleted from the registry. I've been into and deleted a
number of keys relating to FP but when I go through the
reinstall of FP98 and FP2000 then I have the same problem
again when I try to start FP2000.

I've loaded FP98 and FP2000 onto a completely reformatted
disk and FP2000 then works fine, however, I want to try
and get it running on my other disk as this disk has loads
and loads of software on it that ideally I don't want to
have to reload.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Brian

Find and delete the cmdui.prf file for FrontPage - this is the file that stores your customizations and preferences for the FrontPage Menu and it will get rebuilt, using the defaults, the next time you start FrontPage.

Kathleen,

Tried what you suggested and it worked a treat. Many
thanks for taking the timeout to reply to my problem.
