From FP98 to FP2000

Marilyn

Web administrators here used FP98 to edit the website. I
installed FP2000 and now the changes won't save. I get
the following --

FP Server Error: Cannot Create File [filename].htm

I have already posted today about this topic, but
neglected to mention that there were no problems when
users edited in FP98.

I have checked permissions and they are fine; FP 2000
Extensions are installed.

Can anyone help, please? Thank you.

What version of the server extensions are installed? You didn't say.

2000 Server. Just now, I read that sometimes the 2000
Server Extensions don't always take; I went to REGEDIT and
went to check the settings and the one entry it told me to
edit didn't even exist. I'm wondering if that's my
problem. I just started this job 2 weeks ago, so there's
no telling what was installed and if the problems were
glossed over, etc.

Does this help you? Thanks for your response.

Hi Marilyn,

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is. However, you may find a clue in
one of the following MS Knowledge Base articles:
