I changed my password on my website. Now I can't figure out how to change
the publish password, I had FP to remember the password...any help will be
greatly apreciated!

When you do File, Publish Site and put in the URL it should prompt you for a
user name and password if the stored one is wrong. Does that not happen?
If it doesn't try going to Network Places and delete the URL shortcut to the
site you're publishing to. Then when you re-type it in you should get the
prompt.

Hi David,

Thanks so much. I did go to the Network place and there is nothing there
except a few things for an FTP program, but not this particular website. I
am having an issue with the remote site.

Thanks!

Are you using File Publish (not the publish button)
- or in Remote site View - remote site properties

Try this

Passwords used by FP are "stored" using IE
In IE go to Tools > Internet Options > Security
Click on 'Trusted' and on 'Custom Level'
Uncheck the box that says
'Automatic logon with current username and password' and click OK

Now try publishing.

Hi Stefan,

Under file I hit Publish site. When I do this, I get a remote screen that
says to publish site to file system. I try to change it to Front page or
sharepoints, but it will not connect, I get this error:

Unable to open website (name)
Server Error: the website server at (name) does not appear to have windows
sharepoint services available. (Which It does)
1. server may not have FP server Extensions installed (it does)
2. Server down (it's not)
3. Proxy settings incorrect (don't know how to check this)
4. Error may occurred in the web serve (just published my other site)

If the server does not support the FP server extensions, FP may still be
able to publish the server via FTP or webDAV. Please select one.

I did try what David said to do, but for some reason the remember username
and passwordwas not chosen.

Thanks!

and then what exactly are you entering in the Remote Site location box down
below that?
