FP 2002 Cell/Table Backgrounds

Hi. I have just upgraded to FP 2002, running XP. I have
built many websites using FrontPage, and have just now
run into a problem creating the background for a cell or
table. Whenever I have used an image for the background
of a cell/table, I have always just right-clicked, pulled
up the properties for that cell or table, and applied a
background from the properties box. However, now that I
am using FP2002, I can't seem to create a background this
way. When I go to the cell or table properties, the
place to put a checkbox in for a background image is
greyed out, as well as the browse box. I can change the
cell/table background color, but not add an image. And
also, I can't set the borders for a cell or table from
the properties box either, that area is also greyed out.
I'm not using a theme, no CSS, I've not done anything
special to the pages at all. And just to double check
myself, I created a new, blank web, and put in an empty
table and tried to change the background, and still was
not able to. I can manipulate the background using html,
but that's a pain. Is this something w/ FP2002 that I
just haven't set up correctly?

Thanks so much for any and all help!
