FP 2000

I have an unusual problem. Suddenly, the border light and border dark color
options are disabled. I am still able to define the border color though. I
thought it might have been the way I designed the page, so I loaded one that
I used those options on. lo-and-behold, they are still disabled.

Is there a way to fix this or is this an indication that Front Page is
beginning to
self-destruct like Windows does, and within a few months it will be useless?

Thanks.

Since FP (as an obsolete product) doesn't get updated as Windows does, the
program can't alter.

Of course, that doesn't mean that something else can't go wrong. Is the site
that is misbehaving available on the web? If so, please post a link.

If a menu item or proerty option becomes disabled, then most likely a
setting has changed in
Tools->Page Options - Compatibility tab
Check that browsers is set to custom, Netscape does not support
bordercolorlight etc. (nor does Firefox, Safari or Chrome).
To enable the different shades of borders use CSS to apply them, and they
will be visible in all browsers.

FrontPage 2000 is now over 10 years old; there is only 1 browser in common
use of that age - all the others (used by 80% of web users) are only at most
4(?) years old (IE7) - there is a huge difference in how they work compared
with what FP2000 was designed for. Whilst (as Trevor said) FrontPage 2000
will not change, the world it is being used in has changed significantly
around it.
