Has anyone here worked out how to change the menus etc. to English
please ?

Regards, John.

Hi John,
I just downloaded this for myself and as well set on the mission of enabling
the English mode.

Looks like they have an xls file of tips for this at the site, but I don't
have Excel installed, and when I tried a xls file viewer it was gibberish,
maybe in CZ.

Anyway, I looked into the options.ini, and changed the language=1 to
language=0 (zero) and it worked!

This is probably because the first group in the language.ini is the English
group, hence 0 (zero, the first).

Open the ini file in your texteditor, make the changes and be sure to
resave....should then be good to go.

Okay, thanks to your help I now have this running in English. Now,
does anyone know how to change the pre-sets ? There are 3/2 aspect
ratios etc. but how do I set one myself ? For example, suppose I
wanted files cut in a 7/5 ratio ?

Does anyone here know how this can be done in this program and/or any
other lossless JPG editor please ?

Regards, John.

that same icon 3rd from bottom (pic of hammer in icon) opens an options/properties/whatever dialog with a 'cropping' tab.
changing the 'ratio' in that tab is what edits values in the ini file (same file was mentioned by another poster in this thread).

Thanks, but my copy seems different to yours. :-(

My bottom icon, down the left hand side, says "Show/hide info bar"

Second from the bottom says "Fullscreen".

Third from the bottom says "Maximal/Equal size of picture".

The icon is of a rectangle with arrows pointing outward or arrows
pointing inward. Clicking on it changes the directions of the arrows
but does not open any dialog. :-(

Perhaps the seventh icon from the bottom "Cropping proportions" has
something to do with it ? It makes no difference which choice I make
3:2., 4:3, N:M, (no idea what that means), padlock, or the arrow
cross. Nothing in combination with the third icon from the bottom
works.

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong please ?

Perhaps if I knew whether changing the seventh icon selection from the
bottom affects the third icon from the bottom options with other
people as well, it might help ?

For people who have the third icon from the bottom working, what have
you got the seventh icon from the bottom set at ?

Regards, John.
