My read of the copyright that comes with indicates it can not be
distributed either Be sure and get your own copies now. It is a nice

I just tracked down my archived copy, now I have another.
What a shame, FotoAlbum is one of my favourite freeware programs.
Only strange thing is, when you make a FotoAlbum CD it basically puts
the program on the CD, then if you distribute the CD you are infact
distributing the program. Might have found a loop hole. ;o)

From the user guide...
[q]A FotoAlbum CD is a CD or DVD with all necessary files to display your
albums and pictures on another person's PC. Everything is necessary for
the complete viewing of the albums exactly like you see on your PC (the
other system does not need to install FotoAlbum). You can choose to copy
all of your images and albums or only a certain set of albums/groups. You
then choose the method that you wish to use to create the CD/DVD.
Currently you can create an ISO image that can be easily used to burn a
CD or DVD, or you can choose to save the complete set of files to a
folder that can be burned using your existing CD or DVD creation
software. In the future, an option will allow direct burning to your CD
or DVD drive.

The version of FotoAlbum that runs from the CD or DVD is a read-only
version in order to prevent any changes to your albums or pictures.

Some features of FotoAlbum CD's, DVD's include:

Autorun support (insert the FotoAlbum CD and it automatically starts and
opens the albums on the CD).
All necessary FotoAlbum application files. Your CD will run from any PC
(even without FotoAlbum installed).
No installation necessary on the system being used to display the
pictures.
Permanent/safe archiving of your pictures. No need to worry about
accidental loss of your pictures.
All chosen images are stored on the CD/DVD exactly as they were on the
PC. The folder and file structure remains intact.[/q]

What a shame! I recently used Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 on someone else's
system--a nice program, but for most functions FotoAlbum was its equal and
more convenient in some areas. Oh well...
