Formula looks OK but results do not change when a component does

Formula looks Ok but results don't chang

My spreadsheets seem to be locked on formulas. Although the formula is
correct, when I change the value of one of the component cells in the
formula, the results of the formula do not change. I fear I have
inadvertently done something globally to cause this. Please help if you can.

Make sure Calculations are set to Automatic.

In Excel 2003 or older:
Go to TOOLS Menu
Select "Options"
Go to the Calculations Tab
Check "Automatic"

In Excel 2007:
Go to the FORMULAS Tab on the Ribbon
Click on "Calculation Options"
Select "Automatic"
