forms change checking symbol

How do I change the X in a form created in word to a tick symbol. I need
answers urgently , please.

You can't get anything other than an X in a protected form without doing
some fancy workarounds. If you don't need a protected form for other
purposes, there are a number of ways to create and use clickable checkboxes
in documents / templates. Some require protected or locked forms, others do
not. Take a look at the Checkbox template available at

of these.
