Format a Portable HD to UDF?

I have a situation where I have to take a portable hard drive, loat 40+
gigabyte files (video editing_ and transfer them over pretty much every
type of OS out there. OSX, XP, and sometimes Linux.
So, is there a utility out there where I can format a 200 GB hard drive
that used Firewire, USB2.0 and eSATA to UDF?

Will XP Pro be able to read and write a UDF formatted hard drive? Will
it be dog slow or just as fast as NTFS?
