form text box validate data option is grayed out

I created this form a few weeks ago and now I need to change the "validate
data" rules for a text box but when I click Validate in the Text Box
Properties or the dialog box all the options to change the validation are
grayed out.
I was able to access these options when I created this form, but now I can't.

Is the form field within a FP Form?
- Change the data type in the validation dialog
