Form and database creation

Hi
Does frontpage rely on frontpage extensions when you create and connect to a
database using the form properties or does it create stand alone asp pages
Thanks

FrontPage uses ASP to connect to databases and display results. It doesn't
make use of the extensions, but I do believe it has an asp include file for
some generic functionality. FP 2003 and the upcoming EWD can also use
ASP.Net as well.

But it does use the FP SE to set manage permissions on the DB (in the fpdb folder) and create the global.asa, if you add a new DB
- w/o the FP SE you need to create/manage them manually
