The BIOS password is remembered until the battery is dead or removed from
the motherboard. It looks about like a quarter, and in clamped in with a
sliding attachment. Resetting the Bios to the defaults MAY require you to do
some dinking in the setup feature. (Maybe you want something other than
defaults) It's not too hard.
Remove the battery, restart, replace the battery (heck, buy a new one, maybe
10 bucks for 5 years) enter BIOS setup, and check it over.

You should understand there is a problem with deciding how to do this. Your
laptop MAY be under warrantee. If so, no one will tell you to open (or have
someone open) the case to replace the CMOS battery. There MIGHT even be a
way to do that built-in to the laptop hardware. You need to find an expert
in that particular type of laptop. You haven't even mentioned what type that
is, though the chances of finding it here is really pretty slim anyway.
Another response told you to go the the makers site for info. It's the best
bet.
Laptops use a military technology for their components called 'potting in'.
It means they use this black goo to glue the components together, to make
them tougher and less susceptible to damage if dropped. It's likely the CMOS
battery was excluded from this, but you need someone familiar with that type
to tell you that.

If Acer does not have any method os accessing this password, then the
removal of the battery is the only way.
