Forgot new password - How to reset?

Talking while typing did me in. Reset the Admin password
for my personal computer at home (Win 2K), left the room
to do something, the Logon timed out, now I'm locked out
of the computer and can't remember the password. (I know--
realllllllly dumb.) How can I find/reset the password? Am
totally locked out. Don't want to wipe the drive--will
lose all my files. Any help is appreciated!!

Where did you change the password if it was in users you
can press F8 or F5 while booting and select last known
good configuration if that dosent work try F1 enter setup
and go to admin password if anything else comes up and
that dosent work email me at (e-mail address removed)
