Certain workstations are put in as a receptionist with
certain network printers and security.
How could I force a particular user to log into a
Windows 2000 Pro workstation every time?

Do you want the computer to automatically log in as this user (without
prompting for the password) or are you looking to force a particular user to
manually log in? I wasn't sure from the way you asked the question. Are
these workstations part of a domain?

Yes, we are on a domain, and I would like the user to
enter the password. Thanks.

There is a setting on the properties of the user account
in AD that will let you restrict the computers to which
each user can logon. Only problem is, I can't remember
exactly where it is on there. Its something like 'Log On
To' or 'Computers from Which Users Can Log on'.

Its on there somehwere, just have a dig around. I'll
check it tomoz when I can get on a DC.

I posted a reply to this last night, but for some reason
it hasn't appeared.

There is an option on the properties of the user account
in AD to restrict the computer that a user is allowed to
logon to. I haven't got a DC to check on today as I'm
working from home, but its something like 'Log on to'
or 'Computers from which a user can logon'. Should be in
a similar area on the account properties to the logon
hours restrictions. Dig around, you'll find it.
