Force Windows XP to use alternate IP configuration

Kind of a weird question, this...

Is there a command I can issue to force Windows XP to use the
alternate IP configuration? The situation is this:

I run a DHCP server at home, and thus have primary settings set to use
that. At work, there should not be a DHCP server, and thus I have an
alternate address configured on their range. However, we have recently
put in a switch that acts as a DHCP server. The DHCP facilities are
unwanted, and the range is blocked by the firewall, meaning that the
assigned lease is useless. We would turn the facility off, save that
nobody can remember the password to change the configuration. Hence, I
want to force my computer to use the alternate configuration for this
session.

Any ideas?

Regards

Nick
