For a MAG LCD Monitor, fix it or throw it away, that is the question.

I have a MAG 19 inch LCD monitor, LT916S bought half a year ago.
It worked fine but now there is a problem with it.

After working for 10 to 20 minutes, it goes black. If you turn it off and
then on agin, it will light up for about 2 seconds and then back to black.

If you turn it off and let it cool down, it will works again like I
described above.

In a word, it cannot work long. I suspect that some part is bad and cannot
work properly when it becomes hot.

I googled and find somebody else has similar problem:

My question is, can I repair it without replacing any part?

If not, I will have to throw it away although its LCD is still so bright
and clear:(

It sounds like a dry solder joint or dried out electrolytic
capacitor(s).

With any luck the problem will be a dry solder joint. Otherwise, if it
turns out that one of the main chips is overheating, then you may be
able to attach a heatsink to it.

Why not give it to someone who can repair it? It might only cost them
a few dollars in parts and you'll earn yourself some goodwill. Or at
least put it on eBay. The panel will be worth something.
