font size selection while composing emails

(i'm in a networked environment) is there a reason why i can't select odd
numbered font sizes while composing emails with outlook 2003 using word 2000
as my email editor? i'm using basic fonts (microsoft sans serif, arial,
etc..) and am able to select odd numbered font sizes using ms word, excel but
for some reason, it won't let me do anything with odd numbered font sizes in
outlook. any suggestions/solutions? thanx!

Word 2000 cannot be used as the message editor in Outlook 2003. In
order to use Word as the message editor, its version must match
Outlook's version.
