Font icon differences

Hi!

There are three different icons in the Fonts folder in Windows XP
Professional. Two of them, the icon with a red "A" and the icon with a blue
double "TT" are our usual, well-known icons which also appear in the Fonts
folder in Windows 95 (my previous operating system before the advent of
Windows XP Professional into my life) and designate Bitmap and True Type
fonts, respectively.

What I am trying to find out is what this third icon with a blue "O" stands
for. By right-clicking it and subsequently clicking Properties, I can see
that it is also a True Type font but what's then the difference between such
an "O" marked True Type font and a double "TT" one?

I am very curious to know and I will be grateful if somebody can cast some
light into this mystery and explain the difference to me.

Thanks a lot for your attention!
