Folders on Desktop won't open???

My computer has developed a new bug as of yesterday. After creating a new
folder on my desktop, and saving some Adobe Illustrator files in it, I tried
to open it. Wouldn't open and everything froze for about 20 seconds... then
the Dr Watson program asked to send an error log. Now I can't open any of
the folders I had on my destop, nor can I access MyComputer to find files
that way... .the Search tool doesn't work anymore either.

I downloaded Microsofts Spyware program and it found a ton... but that
didn't fix the problem. Downloaded Panda's virus protection software, found
even more, but that didn't fix the problem either.

I have no idea what to do. I can't access any of my work or personal files,
unless I open them through a program. What a pain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Run "sfc /scannow" (no quotes) and see if that helps.
