Folder viewing size not remembered

F

Fred

What am I missing?

I use XP Home, and use the "Windows Classic" setting for
my folders. I have gone to view options, made the
settings (included the "Remember settings upon exit"
option) and applied to all folders.

Everything seem to work fine, except for the window size
of the folders.

When opened, they are maximized. I can then resize them,
and the size is remembered for the session. However, once
I exit, the next time I turn on the computer, they open up
maximized again. It's getting a bit annoying.

Any help would be appreciated!

See if this helps:
Close all other windows. Right click your window's entry on the taskbar and
choose Size. Use the arrow keys to make it the size you want. Close it that
way (file, close) . Then re-open.

I have a similar problem but mine is with the view settings. Some windows I
want thumbnails and some details and some icons. I also have it set to
remember settings upon exit. and that works.....for a while. Then after a
while it goes back to details.

Any ideas??????
