Folder Properties

I can not get the folder properties dialog box to open using any method, ie
right click > Properties or highlight folder>File>properties. Individual
files are fine, but for whatever reason, no luck on a folder.

Hi JC,

Are you using Windows XP Professional with IIS installed? If so, read this note:

Also, see "W3ext Module" paragraph in this page:

Let your Firewall Program (Norton Internet Security in my case), to "Allow All" for inetinfo.exe and reboot.

An easy way to see if this is potentially your problem is to look for the Status of World Wide Web Publishing Services. If it says "Starting", then you have this problem. After allowing all for "C:\WINDOWS\system32\inetsrv\inetinfo.exe" in my Firewall program settings, and rebooting, not only did my Properties Window show up again, but the
system boots much more quickly.
