Folder option not working

Hi, When I uncheck the Automatically search for network folders and printers
in the View tag of Folder Options, XP still checks the network first before
opening a local file. Any Ideas?

Check if this registry entry is set to 1:

(Open the Run box and enter: regedit)

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"NoNetCrawling"=dword:00000001
