Folder Freezes

Hi, I am pulling my hair out over this problem I have, when I open certain
folders which contain .avi files the folder opens and then it freezes, I
cannot open anything that is in the folder, all I can do is close it down
using Task Manager, this even happens if I open a Compact Flash card which
has .avi on. I have done a codec check and it always says that the files are
supported, some .avi files from my camera which are in folders do open fine
and play so I can't figure this one out, any help would be much apreciated, I
did note that if I say open Nero first I can then open the .avi file without
problem but trying to open it from it's folder just won't work.

I've had this problem, it's a thumbnail issue. Try changing to Classic
Folder view in the Folder Options general tab.
