Folder for Windows updates/hotfixes

Martin X.

Hello:

Does anyone know which folder contains the Windows updates/hotfixes? In XP
it is in C:\Windows and the files there are prefixed with $Nt and
compressed. I would like to find the equivalent in Vista. Would it be safe
to delete those files in Vista? I have deleted the files in XP and never ran
into any problems. Thank you.

Thanks. I actually have CCleaner on my system. I just wanted to know where
exactly those hotfix files were.

This free program deletes those temporary files to clean up space if you
wish, along with many other things,

The option you want is listed under ADVANCED > Hotfix uninstallers

For Windows Updates, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > Installed
Updates. I can't find the hotfixes themselves, but I probably even want to
go near them.
