Flush Right with dotted leaders?

Deon H

Hi there,
I'm totally new with MS Word XP and need something that I liked to use very
often in WordPerfect, which is called "Flush Right with Dotted Leaders".
It means that I can type something on a new line, and before the next word,
I can hit the specific button and the next word moes straight away to the
right with dots between the two words. It's almost something like a list of
contents in the front of a book with the name of the chapter on the left
and the page number on the right with dots in between.

I hope my wording is fine and that you can help me out here.

Regards,
Deon H

Hi Deon,
In Word, you set a right tab with a dotted leader. You can do this via the
Format | Tabs menu, or set a tab with the mouse on the ruler and then
doubleclick to format it.

Deon,

Format>Tabs. Set a right tab stop on your right margin
and use dot leader.

Thanx DM for a promt and exact reply. Is there a way I can put a button
on the toolbar to use this?

Regards again,

Hi, Deon,

First, define a new paragraph style that contains the tabstop setting. Then,
wherever you want to format a paragraph that way, apply the style. You can
assign a toolbar button or a shortcut key to apply the style, or you can
choose the style from the Styles dropdown on the toolbar. See the section on
styles in http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CreateATemplatePart2.htm,
