Flush right text ??

How do we right justify a portion of the text entry in an Excel 2007
worksheet cell? Right and left justify will shift all the text within a
cell to one side or the other. However, other programs have an option for
'Flush Right' or 'Flush Right with Dot Leaders'. This allows the user to
enter some left justified text, some dot leaders, and then some right
justified text, all in the same cell.

We would especially like to know if there is a keyboard shortcut for
entering the 'Flush Right' code before typing in the right justified
portion. Thank you for any help.

I'm sorry, I did not mean to infer that other spreadsheet programs could do
this, just that other types of programs could. The most releveant examples
are programs that provide this capability with table cells, which behave
similar to spreadsheets.

The best example is WordPerfect which uses CTRL-F7 (or a menu option) to
insert what they call a 'Flush Right' code. This feature works both in
documents and in tables and does not require any special tabs. This allows
the user to type left justified text in a table cell (or document) and then
press CTRL-F7 (or the menu option) to right justify the remainder of the
text or CTRL-F7-F7 to right justify with dot leaders.

The next best example is MS Word, but Word requires the creation of a tab
stop at the far right of a cell in order to both left justify and right
justify within the same table cell. It would have been nicer, however, had
they included a special code or feature that did not require the tab stop.

All said, being able to directly insert a 'Flush Right' or 'Flush right with
dot leaders' is a great feature, both in a word processor and in a table or
worksheet cell. Perhaps, Microsoft will incorporate this feature at some
point.
