I'm having the same problem. All the floppys read fine on other computers.
Not wishing to waste anyone's time, I exhausted all solutions in the search
results listed below, BEFORE posting here. Let's look at them one by one:

a. No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk. Error Message: No ID
address mark was found on the floppy disk. User Action: Retry the operation
using a different floppy disk or a floppy disk with a different density.
~~since they work elsewhere, this is not a solution.

b. Quick Format Results in No ID Address Mark Found - After you perform a
quick format on an unformatted floppy disk in Windows NT ~~ none of my disks
were quick formats, I never use it.

c. No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk. (Windows 2000 Error and
Event Messages Help) No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk. User
Action: Retry the operation using a different floppy disk or a floppy disk
with a different density ~~always use the same density, 1.44, and they work
fine elsewhere.

d. Error Message: No ID address mark was found on the floppy disk. User
Action:
Retry the operation using a different floppy disk or a floppy disk with a
different density. If this message reappears, contact the hardware supplier
or the floppy disk driver software supplier. ~~ditto

e. IBM PC, XT, AT, and PS/2 Error Codes - The following is a list of IBM PC,
XT, and AT PS/2 Diagnostic Error Codes ~~search for the words 'ID code' or
'floppy': they do not appear on this page

f. Windows 2000: Disk Concepts and Troubleshooting Topics on this Page:
Quick Guide to Disk Concepts ... ~ this is a great study of hard drive
concepts and does explain the boot sector of a floppy. The floppy drive is
obviously not finding the critical ID of data type in sector 0, thus can't
read OR format, so this site doesn't present a solution.

g. Windows NT Workstation Resource Kit: Disk and File System Basics Disk
Administrator screen shows you the layout of each of your disks, including:
The size of each disk. The size, label, and file system used for each
partition on the disk. ~~again, this is chiefly education on hard drives

h. Microsoft MS-DOS 5.0 Messages Reference - This document contains an
alphabetical listing of the Microsoft MS-DOS version 5.0 messages and their
descriptions. ~~how old is DOS 5? This page doesn't even come up.

i. Terminal Server Error Messages: 1000 to 1199 - This article describes
Terminal Server error messages 1000 to 1199 ~~nothing applies here.

j. Installing Windows 2000 On Workstations with Remote Installation Services
- Provides an overview of RIS and details on how to prepare for, install and
enable RIS. ~~no solution here, either

When someone asks a question, it would be so nice to get the benefit of the
doubt that one had already searched the knowledgebase and not been able to
find a solution, not simply have the search resultst quoted as a response
with no regard as to whether the listing actually had any content to address
the problem.
