Flashing rectangle image in Powerpoint video

I'm using both the 2007 (Beta) and 2003 Trial versions of Powerpoint to
determine which one I like the best before I actually make the purchase.
Yet, both have the same problem.
I've tried embedding various video clips WMV into the presentation and they
all act the same way in each version. When playing back the video, there's
what looks like a periodic flashing rectangle in the bottom right hand corner
in the video clip.
Does anyone know if this only occurs in the Beta or Trial Versions or is it
a problem that can be corrected now?

Thanks

I have never noticed that on my computer (using both versions of Office).
Try playing the clips with Windows Media Player to see, whether it is part
of the clip or indeed produced by PowerPoint.

The only thing I notice sometimes is a flashing image when starting a video
(only on some computers, with some projectors). That can be eliminated by
animating the video with a fast fade in effekt.

Best regards,

I tested the video clips with Windows Media Player like you suggested. The
Clips play fine there with no flashing rectangular/square image at all.
Therefore, the problem does appear to be with Powerpoint itself.

I welcome any further suggestions.

Thanks
