M$ Anti-Spyware Beta Software Issue:

I decided to muck around with this beta as I am constantly
required to suggest Anti-Spyware solutions for my
customers. I use a download accelerator software called
flashget (jetcar), this software seems to think its adware
supported.

I do concede that the software has banner ads when not
registered but this hardly constitutes the defintion of
adware in todays software. After all if you look at the
Kazaa homepage they tell you their software is adware
supported.

I would like this software reclassified and ignore set as
the default remove value. This is reputable software and
it serves a useful purpose for many people. I am certain
that some novice somewhere will remove this accidently and
be very confused as to why.

Thanks,
Lane

I agree with this completely. I use the registered version of FlashGet (I
need a good download manager because I'm on dialup) and therefor don't
even have the banners, but I still got the adware notice from MAS. I set
it to "always ignore" so I no longer get it now. But In Lavasoft Ad-Aware
(which I used before MAS) my registered FlasGet program did not get
picked up.
