fixing IP Address

yes my setup may not be the most convienent, but it is the cheapest. And
even with all of the posting people have done i finally fixed the problem on
my own. All of you were trying to change network numbers and all of that
stuff. All i really had to do was open DNS which was for somereason closed
by SP3 and now my Xbox 360 works fine, no connection change at all. I find
it pretty amazing that a 14 year old can figure a problem like this out but
you people cant. now im not trying to be a negative person, but i would
think you guys could have told me the basic problems first rather than the
complex network configuring and changing specs. its like algebra word
problems, you try to find the most complex answer when the answer is the most
basic thing that you completely overlook. Now Ian, thankyou for your trying
to help. It did give me some ideas on how to change my settings, and it
brought me to the spot where i changed the DNS to open so it would work. My
connection works perfectly again.

What's more expensive about selecting two network interfaces with your
mouse and selecting bridge these connections?

Yeah right! Wonders never cease.

Jim.
